Clutch cover: a steel stamping or casting that houses the clutch components and attaches to the flywheel.
Clutch disc: faster and harder launches, quicker shifts, and much better durability
The clutch disc is the clutch central connection element, mounted to the input shaft between the flywheel and the clutch. It provides smooth engagement and dampens engine vibrations. It can slide forward and backward on the shaft, but cannot rotate without rotating the shaft.
Clutch pressure plate:
Together with flywheel and friction disc, the clutch pressure plate forms a friction system and is mounted to the flywheel by bolts in the housing. It is a cast iron plate that provides a pivot fulcrum for the diaphragm spring, a friction surface for the disc and a mounting surface for the drive straps. The pressure plate contains a clutch plate, springs, cover and release fingers.
